Sierra Snowden of Floyd County visited her local elementary school to teach 4th and and 5th graders all about watersheds. Sierra led three activities. Students colored an area along the river and then passed pollution downstream. They observed how pollution moves and discussed how why they didn't want to live in the polluted part of the river. Sierra then used the Enviroscape model and stream trailer to show how pollution effects not only humans, but also plants and animals. Awesome job, Sierra!
